The GSM brand of India's Tata Teleservices Ltd., Tata Docomo, and BlackBerry maker Research In Motion, today jointly unveiled the BlackBerry CurveTM 8250 smartphone, with the aim to appeal to a wide segment of retail and business customers who want to fuse together affordable rates with easy mobile access to emails, messaging, social networking and mobile net.
In addition to offering the web services of a smartphone, the Curve 8520 is also packed with powerful multimedia features such as music and video player, as well as a camera which enables video recording.
Announcing the launch, Pradeep Dwivedi, Senior Vice President of Tata Teleservices Limited, said, "Tata Docomo recently rolled out its BlackBerry solution and has received an enthusiastic response. Users who want to get their hands on this sleek and sophisticated BlackBerry model will need to shell out Rs. 14,990, which is quite affordable when compared with other BlackBerry models.
"We believe this new model, with its new trackpad navigation system and integrated multimedia features, will attract a broad range of mobile customers to the BlackBerry services offered on the Tata Docomo network", said Frenny Bawa, Vice President India of Research In Motion.
