Lahore, Apr 18: A married woman, said to be a doctor by profession, reportedly chopped off her ex-lover’s genitals after she learnt that the latter was planning to get married.

According to police, Shahzad (26), a resident of Kareem Park, was engaged in illicit relation with the female doctor - Jameela Ashraf, a Nishter Colony resident in Lahore.

On learning that Shahzad was planning to marry another woman, Jameela invited him to her house late on Thursday night and intoxicated him, and then chopped off his genitals.

Locals of the area rushed Shahzad to Lahore General Hospital, where doctors said he was in a critical condition, reported the Daily Times.

The police have arrested Jameela and registered a case of an attempted murder against her, on the complaint of Shahzad’s father Muhammad Fayyaz.

The first ever such case in the world happened in the US in June 1993 when a woman Lorena (24) chopped off her husband John Wayne Bobbitt’s (26) penis in a fit of rage following Bobbit’s extra marital affairs and cruelty. The case was reported extensively in the press across the world, and it assumed such wide popularity that now every such case is discussed in conjunction with Bobbitt’s case. (ANI)
