India's Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi of Pakistan have crashed out of the Proton Malaysian after going down to Russian-Czech pair of Igor Kunitsyn and Jaroslav Levinsky in Kuala Lumpur today.
Bopanna-Qureshi duo lost to their opponents in a three setter match 6-2 6-7 (4) 11-13 in one hour and thirty minutes in the quarterfinal of the men's doubles event.
The wildcard Indo-Pakistani duo registered an easy win in the first set. Bopanna-Qureshi duo broke their opponents twice in the first set to take lead in the match. But they failed to capitalize on their lead as they lost second set.
The second set was won by Igor and Jaroslav after it went to tie-breaker. Both pairs did not drop their serves in the whole set but the Russian-Czech pair held their nerves to level the match.
The third and final set was a thriller as the set went to super tie-breaker. Both pairs were tied at 11-11 when Igor and Jaroslav earned the winning point.
