Wellington, Sep 17 : A fence ina New Zealand, made using bras of different sizes, is being robbed of its raw material.

According to a Local resident Sharon Harvey, the bra fence on Cable Bay Rd in Nelson first appeared about two years ago.

Harvey, who runs the range with her husband Bruce, said that the fence near the Cable Bay rifle range had grown in popularity, and people would stop to take pictures of it.

In fact, the fence, which was on her husband''s family land, has even become an Internet hit, making it onto the internet GPS game Geocache.

Geocache is an international game where participants use GPS and navigational skills to search for locations.

The code name for the bra fence is "Storm in a D Cup".

Harvey said that the fence has up to 20 bras of different colours, shapes, and cup-sizes at its peak.

But she said that, every few months, the bras were removed from the fence, and the fence had been robbed down about four times to date.

"It''s just a shame someone feels it has to be removed. I think it''s quite cool. I don''t think it''s doing any harm. I think anything that brings tourists out to a community has got to be positive," Stuff. co. nz quoted Harvey as saying.

She thought the bras went missing in the late afternoon, and said whoever removed them was fastidious, removing every skerrick of bra material from the fence.

Meanwhile, city council transport manager Andrew James said that the council staff was aware of the fence, but it was not responsible for taking it down.

"They''ve only taken the big cups," he joked. (ANI)
