The boss of Britain's biggest ISP BT, Mandybill Ian Livingston has urged a penalty for file-sharing across the country. He has demanded to bring some law so that the Government can collect fines from the file sharers.
However, the government has proposed a technical sanction against the file-sharing customers. Livingston has revealed that a penalty for the accused would be a better option rather than going for a temporary suspension. He has also informed that sometimes the accused can't receive a fair justice from the institution.
However, the bosses of TalkTalk, Virgin Media and Orange have also shared the similar view on the amendment to the Digital Economic Bill. They have expressed their concerns by saying that such acts can allow copyright holders to inject ISPs and force blocking of specific web addresses.
Livingston has proposed the accused to be given two options to choose. They can go for a fight in the court or else they can settle the case by paying some monetary penalty. He has also anticipated that these fines can raise a handsome amount of money.
