Islamabad, Dec. 10 : Accusing former President General Pervez Musharraf of decieving other army officers and corps commanders, former Pakistan Chief of General Staff, Shahid Aziz has said that Musharraf’s decision to support the US in its ‘war on terror’ was an unilateral decision, and that he was bullied into backing America’s move.
In an interview with the Dawn, Aziz said that the corps commanders were reluctant to support the US on the war on terror.
“They wanted to remain neutral in the US-Taliban war instead of actively supporting it,” he added.
Aziz also accused India of lobbying for carrying out attacks both in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and said that the military intelligence had informed him about New Delhi’s plans. (ANI)
