A poll of readers of Investment International magazine has named 'Bupa' as the best healthcare option on a worldwide level.

Named as the 'Best International Healthcare Provider', the readers said that Bupa has leapt out from the rivalry for offering up expatriate health care during a tough year.

For over two decades Investment International's readership has distinguished companies with particular expertness and knowledge.

While commenting on the honor, Mr. Tim Slee, Bupa International's sales director stated that Bupa International is pleased with the rave review.

"Our customers have the reassurance of knowing that they can be treated in any of our 7,500 participating hospitals and clinics worldwide. Bupa's doctors and in-house medical teams - unique among private medical insurers - arrange hundreds of emergency evacuations and repatriations each year and offer customers medical advice and guidance, 24 hours a day," Mr. Slee said.

Mr. Slee added, "Our multi-lingual advisers speak more than 30 languages and can help with everything from minor injuries and routine healthcare appointments to emergency evacuation - offering comfort to customers wherever they are in the world."

At the Health Insurance magazine awards, Bupa International medical insurance was also recently selected as the best international provider for the ninth time.

Over 8k expatriates own global health insurance plans with Bupa International. During the last year, Bupa rolled out a new flexible plan, Worldwide Health Options, which can be customized to individual clients' requirements.

Mr. Slee also said that Bupa's clients could be reassured by the 7,500 hospitals and clinics all through the world it runs from, its specialist and skilled medical personnel and its multi-lingual facilities.

In 2008, Bupa International bagged three honors at the Health Industry Awards, comprising the Best International Private Medical Insurance Provider award.
