RIL To Begin Gas Production From D6 By Nov-End

The Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Industries would start gas production from D6 RIL To Begin Gas Production From D6 By Nov-Endblock by the end of November. The company is also expected to start oil production from this segment of Krishna Godavari basin. 

It was disclosed by the chief directorate general of Hydrocarbon Mr. V K Sibal. He said that the company would produce 15,000 barrels of oil per day. It would decrease India’s dependence on oil import.

Jindal Stainless Disclosed Business Expansion Plan

The largest stainless steel producer of India, Jindal Stainless Ltd would invest Rs 10,000-11,000 crore in the next five years to expand its steel business. The company would increase its production capacity and establish new steel plants in the coming years. It also intends to provide value added services and steel products as per its expansion plans. The company would come in the form of a new corporate entity. It has changed its logo and name to JSL Ltd. 

ONGC Plans To Invest $5.3 Billion In Developing Gas Fields

State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has unveiled its plan to pump $5.3 billion in developing gas fields in two of its eastern offshore Krishna Godavari basin blocks by 2013.

Era Infra Secures Rs 123 Cr Order From CPWD

World’s top leading infrastructure firm, Era Infra Engineering has revealed that the company has bagged two orders, worth Rs 123 crore, from Central Public Works Department for construction related work.

According to the sources, the first order of Rs 70.75 crore has been secured for up-gradation and construction of shooting ranges, armoury building, development of civil and electrical complex and renovation at Karni Singh Shooting Range in the national capital, where events for the Commonwealth Games 2010 would be held

Jindal Stainless Comes Up With A New Corporate Identity

A new corporate identity, including a changed logo, was unveiled here on Wednesday by the country’s largest  producer of stainless steel, Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL).

BHEL To Increase Manufacturing Capacity To 20,000 MW

Bharat Heavy Electricals has revealed that the company, in the coming three fiscals, will enhance its manufacturing capacity to 20,000 MW from the current 10,000 MW.

According to the sources, the company expects to reach the 15,000 MW manufacturing capacity mark by this year-end.

While commenting on the plan,  Mr. K Ravi Kumar, CMD, BHEL said, “Attention is also being given to rebuild and retrofit existing facilities to enhance their life, accuracy and productivity through additional investment.”

The sources also disclosed that the company has inked MoU with Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for forming a joint venture to build a 2x800 MW supercritical thermal power project.
