Castrol India Q2 net up 56% at Rs 128 crore
Castrol India, motor oil and lubricants major, has announced that its net profit during the second quarter ended June 30, 2009 has witnessed a growth of 56% to Rs 128 crore.
In the same period previous fiscal, company's net profit figure stood at Rs 82 crore.
Total income rose to Rs 646.8 crore in the latest quarter from Rs 630.6 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Company's board has decided to pay interim dividend of Rs 10 per share for the year ending December 31, 2009.
Scrip of Castrol India ended the day in green at Rs 440, up 9.19% on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded on NSE was 346,933.
