Celina Jaitley lodges police complaint; alleges misuse of photos by two websites
In a recent complaint filed with the police, Bollywood actress and a former Miss India, Celina Jaitley, has alleged that two websites – one of which is a foreign website - have uploaded her morphed photographs for promoting certain products. The actress told reporters that the morphed are apparently obscene and vulgar.
Celina’s publicist Parag Desai said that on the behalf of the actress, her secretary Zayed Khan had approached the crime branch lodged the complaint, against the websites, at police headquarters in south Mumbai.
About Celina’s complaint, Rakesh Maria, Joint Police Commissioner, said: “Actress Celina Jaitley complained to us in writing that her pictures have been misused and morphed. We have taken note of her complaint and cyber cell team is probing the matter.”
Saying that the pictures that have been morphed were clicked a year-and-a-half back, by a photographer during a photo shoot, Desai added that it is expected of the police to take “immediate action” against the culprits, who have tried to malign Celina’s image.
The actress, who could not meet the Police commissioner Hassan Gafoor as he left for an urgent meeting, said: “It’s unfortunate that this is a price one has to pay for stardom. I will make sure that people who have harmed my dignity will be prosecuted and I am sure the police will ensure that this happens.”
