In lieu of rising demand for the natural healing techniques and treatments, Himachal Government has given an order to set-up a Centre of Excellence in herbal medicines, said a state minister. It is a step towards development when the government is gearing up for specialized institutions in the country.
With the central governments' nod the centre will start operations very soon.
According to the proposed plan, a herbal garden and museum would be set up and farmers would be educated about herbal farming, Health Minister Rajeev Bindal said in a press release.
This can be considered as a remarkable step of progress in connection to the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar to help in selling herbal products produced by farmers at higher prices, said the minister.
However, in general public's opinion, this is welcome step for the lower income class, who will have a common platform to gain knowledge and offer it at a right price.
