Citizens reiterate their determination to fight terror in DelhiNew Delhi, Nov 30 : A cross-section of citizens of Delhi reiterated their determination to fight terror at the lawns of India Gate.

Organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the 60-minute concert ''A Nation In Solidarity Against Terror'' was attended by artists, sportspersons and representatives of civil society. They gathered to pay homage to those who had lost their lives in the Mumbai terrors attacks.

The concert symbolically coincided with the day security forces formally called off their 60-hour siege and declared Mumbai safe.

Labelling terrorism as a religion of the barbaric, Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan urged all religions to unite to fight terror.

"While all civilised religions respect and celebrate life, this new barbaric terror religion loves only death. And unfortunately all humane faiths face a challenge but fortunately for all of us we also have a choice and the choice is ''to destroy or perish.'' I believe it is the moral duty of all our religious beliefs to inspire with all its power to root out and wipe out the slightest trace of terror in all the deeds or else accept annihilation of all humanity," he said.

Urging the countrymen to win the fight against terror, Olympic gold medallist shooter Abhinav Bindra said, "Under the circumstances it is understandable to feel a sense of despair and resignation. But that is something we cannot afford. As a sportsman let me tell you that life is about winning. In case of terrorism and terror, winning is our only option." (ANI)
