New Delhi, Feb. 1 : HCL Infosystems, one of India's premier IT Services, Distribution and Digital Solutions Company, has announced its financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016.

Quarter Highlights:

• Overall Revenue of Rs. 765 Crore in Q3

• Enterprise Business continues to grow with revenue of Rs. 490 Crore in Q3 (+5% YoY) on the back of strong order book growth

• Progress made towards project completion and receivables in the System Integration (SI) business with a collection of Rs. 200 Crore from a major Defence Project

HCL board approves business restructuringThe board of directors of the HCL Infosystems has given its approval for business restructuring of the hardware and systems integration company.

The board approved the restricting plan on Friday that was recommended by the Finance Committee. The company said that the restructuring was aimed at making sure that the management has specific focus on each of the growth areas. The restructuring will also return in a leaner organization for the company's hardware solutions business.

HCL introduces its first ultrasmart ME ultrabook in IndiaHCL Infosystems has announced the launch of its first Ultrasmart ME Ultrabook for the Indian market called the HCL Ultrasmart ME Series 3074.

The HCL Ultrasmart ME Series 3074 features a metal casing and a 14-inch LED-backlit display that offers a resolution of 1,366 by 768 pixels. It is less than 18mm in thickness and 1.7kg in weight.

HCL Infosystems Q1 net profit down by 19.5 percent

The consolidated revenue for the quarter under review stood at Rs. 2,990.7 crore.

While the revenue from computer systems business remained at Rs. 898.9 crore, the earnings from telecommunication and office automation business for the quarter stood at Rs. 53.7 crore.

Fortis Healthcare inks five-year outsourcing deal with HCL

Fortis Healthcare,India's fastest growing healthcare chain Fortis Healthcare has signed a five-year outsourcing deal with IT major HCL Infosystems for implementing software solutions at all its facilities.

Under the arrangement, HCL will undertake complete outsourcing of IT systems and processes of Fortis Healthcare Ltd., and install software solutions at all Fortis hospitals.

The company stated in a communiqué that IT platform for all the hospitals in Fortis network will be standardized through the IT system installed by HCL within a period of twelve months, and the first hospital will go live by the end of February 2010.

HCL to invest Rs 50 crore on rebranding

The company is making the proposed investment for re-branding its laptops as well as netbooks series under 'ME' brand.

The sources informed that HCL will put up its laptops and netbooks for sale under the 'ME' brand replacing the previous 'MiLeap' series of portable products.

The sources further informed that the conglomerate is eyeing at increasing its present 7% share to 20% over the coming 2-3 years. The new range includes seven models and can be availed in a price range between Rs 19,000-65,000.

However, the company registered a growth of 1% in its total income, which grew to Rs 3106.33 crore during the June quarter from Rs 3090.28 crore in the same period last fiscal.

HCL Infosystems receives an order worth Rs 40 crore from SBI HCL Infosystems, India's premier information enabler and leading ICT System Integrator, has received an order worth Rs 40 crore from public sector bank State Bank of India (SBI) and associated banks to deploy, maintain and service their ATMs.

As per the agreement, HCL will deploy over 1,000 ATMs and cash dispensers with enhanced features such as Braille and support for multi-lingual content.

Many market experts are now-a-days are recommending a buy call in HCL Infosystems from a short-term perspective.
