Honda announces pricing details for new Civic models

Japanese auto maker, Japan has announced the pricing details of the ninth-generation Honda Civic, which is scheduled to go on sale in January in the UK. The range is now available to order and will come with a starting price of £16,495.
The new Honda Civic 2012 were first released during the Frankfurt motor show last month in Germany. The new modelsd will come with several improvements and feature
a high level of standard equipment, air-conditioning, alloy wheels, a ECON driving mode as well as daytime running lights.
Honda’s Indian unit to recall 72k City Sedans for faulty power windows replacement

Washington, Sept 6 : The India unit of Honda Motor Co. is to call back 72,115 units of its City sedans manufactured between 2005 and 2007 to replace the faulty power window switches.
Honda Siel Cars India Ltd said that the decision is part of a global exercise by the Japanese automaker and is an extension of an exercise announced in January 2010 to replace the same part in 8,532 units of the second-generation City sedan.
Honda to recall over 760,000 cars in China

Beijing, Aug 6 - Japanese automaker Honda Motor Co. will recall a total of 760,515 vehicles sold in China over potential automatic transmission problems, China's quality watchdog said.
The automobiles being recalled will include the company's Accord, Odyssey and Spirior models, Xinhua reported citing the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Honda's two joint ventures in China - the Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and the Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co. Ltd. - will launch the recall Aug 8.
Honda to unveil new Honda Civic at the Frankfurt Motor Show

Japanese Automaker, Honda has said that it will release the latest version of its popular Civic hatchback at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The company said that the ninth generation of its best-selling vehicle will continue to be built in the Swindon plant in the UK. The company is yet to officially reveal the new look and has only released some pictures of it in disguise.

Warranty expert, Warranty Direct has named Honda as the most reliable car maker in the UK.
Warranty Direct found that the Japanese automaker’s vehicles has only a nine percent chance of developing a fault over a 12 month period ahead of Toyota, which ame on the second position with 15 percent.

Honda SIEL makes a comeback

After witnessing its unit sales falling from the past many months, Honda SIEL has finally made a comeback by posting the best sales ever in the month of August this year. As the numbers issues by the company, the company has sold close to 5,532 units, filing a 38.75 per cent jump over the same period last year.
It may be noted here that the company had sold 3,987 units in the corresponding month last year. HSCI Vice President (Marketing) Jnaneswar Sen said that the company is very happy about its performance in the last year.
Honda recalls 400,000 vehicles in US

Washington, Aug 10 - Honda has recalled nearly 400,000 vehicles in the US because of a defect that could lead cars to roll away when parked, the Japanese manufacturer said Monday.
The safety recall was related to a defect in the ignition mechanism. Honda in a statement reported "several complaints about such failures" and "a small number of related incidents, including one that resulted in a minor injury."
Honda was recalling 197,000 'Accord' and 117,000 'Civic' models from 2003, as well as 69,000 Element models from 2003-04. (dpa)

Eyeing to start a new era of sports riding in the Indian market, the new bike VFR1200F is available at a price Rs 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
This is Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India's third offering in the sports biking section after CB1000R and CBR1000RR Fireblade, which are 1000 cc bikes.

Honda recalls cars in China due to airbag defectsau

Beijing, July 1 - Japanese car-maker Honda has decided to recall its Civic and Stream models sold in China due to airbag defects, fearing it could cause injury to the vehicle occupants, China's quality inspection authorities said.
The recall, to begin July 19, will cover two models - the 2001 and 2002 versions of the Civic and the Stream - which were produced between August 2000 and July 2002, Xinhua reported citing a statement from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).
Honda tries to make a comeback
