Delhi is known for its long traffic jams, pollution and a large number of pedestrians, motorbikes, panhandlers, buses, cows, cars and carts make the distances in the metro city longer. Delhi Metro is one of the best gifts from the government to the people of Delhi and was greeted warmly by daily commuters.

In just 7 years time, it has become the life line of the city. The amount of crowd is the attestation to this fact.

A partnership between Google and Delhi Metro has been announced and has come as a welcome announcement where Google transit will be assisting this city to reach from one point to another without the assistance of passers by. A collaboration with Google maps, will now be assisting the Delhi people with driving directions, metro schedules, departure time of metro trains, and the metro trains to take for different destinations, the availability of services like coffee shops, ATMs etc will all be provided and the ever changing Delhi will become more sophisticated.

This service has already been launched in Kolkata on experimental basis. Recently, Chennai and Hyderabad governments have also shown interests in this service.
