First Quarter Net Up 25% for Hewlett-PackardThe fiscal first-quarter profit of Hewlett-Packard Co.'s (HPQ) has climbed 25% higher than the previous quarter. So now its technology major Hewlett-Packard Co.'s which has shown a tremendous potential in worldwide sales and profit growth of its products, which can be seen as a strong indicator of recovery in certain markets.

At the same time, share prices of the company rose to $50.65 after the news of the comprehensive high profit. On a conference call Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard Mark Hurd said that HP has gained share in the printer, server and PC markets during this quarter of business. He also added the printer market is improving at times, and the company intends to enhance its sales force.  

So it’s now clear that HP has weather-beaten the recession better than some of its contemporary competitors in the market. The second-quarter earnings of Hewlett-Packard Co. are $1.03 to $1.05 on revenue of $29.4 billion to $29.7 billion. Earnings of the company for the year is nearly $4.37 to $4.44 which is up from its November view of $4.25 to $4.35, and it has been expected that the revenue of  the company may go $121.5 billion to $122.5 billion which is a handsome up of $3.5 billion.
