Ganguly takes first step towards CABFormer India captain Sourav Ganguly has decided to represent the first division club Bhukailash SC in the next meeting of the working committee of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) as confirmed by the secretary of Bhukailash Sporting Club, Mintu Das on Monday.

Ganguly, who has recently made debut in TV commentary, will have to be nominated as one of the voters of 121 units of the CAB working committee in the CAB annual general meeting, which will be held on 31st July.

Ganguly has opted for Siliguri, which has been controlled by Left Front ministers, Asok Bhattacharya, however the district officials have yet to confirm this decision of nominating Ganguly as their representative from their district.

The working committee of the CAB will be chosen from the 121 units in turn and Siliguri district will be certainly the part of the working committee in the upcoming year.

Ganguly has opted for Siliguri as all the five clubs controlled by his family in Behala have either finished their turn or they have already announced the names of their representatives for the working committee.
