UK to see the launch of Nintendo’s DSi

NintendoOn 3rd April, UK would see Nintendo launching its new DSi, two days before its release in the US - at a retail price of 149 GBP.

A source, on condition of anonymity, disclosed, "A third iteration of Nintendo's hugely successful handheld hardware, the DSi adds two cameras while slimming the proportions, and perhaps most significantly adds both an SD card slot and 256MB of memory, transforming the DS into a multimedia tool."

HP to offer its latest Mini Netbooks without Linux  It has come to light that HP, the well known computer manufacturer will ship its upcoming Mini netbook models with Windows only dropping the Linux operating system.

Reportedly, the new HP Mini 1000 netbook and HP Mini 700 would be equipped with Windows XP only. The customers will however get a choice between Windows XP and Vista, if they opt for HP Mini 2140.

LIC launches new money back plan 'Jeevan Varsha' After the success of Jeevan Astha, a well-thought insurance scheme, the state run Insurance major Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Saturday launched yet another money back plan, Jeevan Varsha, a close ended guaranteed addition money back policy.

The plan, that offers survival benefits for every three years, is going to start from February 16 and close on March 31 with two policy terms of 9 years and 12 years. LIC Zonal Manager (East) R. R. Dash expects good response to the plan and said that LIC has set a target to earn Rs 1,500 crore premium from the new policy.
