Google to launch web on TV, project named Google TVThe internet wonder Google Inc. is working on an ambitious project named Google TV. The company is said to have partnered with Intel Corp., Sony Corp. and Logitech International SA for the mentioned project.

Through this ambitious project, Google Inc. will be able to deliver Web to TV which will be a challenge for competitors like Yahoo! Inc., TiVo Inc., Rovi Corp. and Microsoft Corp. An inside source, on conditions of anonymity revealed that this Google TV will use Intel chips along with a keyboard that will act as a remote control for it.

Kurt Scherf, who is an analyst at the Dallas based research firm Parks Associates commented that such a step by Google shows a sign of legitimacy of Internet connectivity which is swiftly moving beyond the world of PCs and mobile phones. Internet no more is limiting itself to computers.

Google TV can easily be called the third leg of this stool. When contacted by the media to confirm the news, Gabriel Stricker, the Google Spokesperson, refused to comment on the issue Google's Google TV project was reported by New York Times.
