New Delhi, June 24 : President Pratibha Patil appointed the new Governors to Karnataka, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh.

According to a communiqué issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Devanand Konwar will be the new Governor of Bihar replacing R L Bhatia.

Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur has been transferred to Madhya Pradesh in place of Balram Jhakar for his remaining tenure.

And former Union Law Minister H R Bharadwaj replaces Rameshwar Thakur as Karnataka Governor. (ANI)
