Hindustan Construction Company, India's leading engineering and infrastructure development company, has secured an order worth Rs 228.79 crore Gosikhurd Hydel power project by the Vidharb Irrigation Development Corporation.

According to an official release, the 4x6 MW Gosikhurd Hydel Scheme is being built on the Wainganga river near Nagpur.

Further the release stated that this is an EPC contract where HCC will be responsible for Engineering, Procurement and construction of all items including civil and associated infrastructure works comprising of supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all electromechanical plant and machinery and hydro-mechanical components including generating units.

The project will be completed in 36 months followed by operation and maintenance for 24 months.
