Helicopter crashes in Oklahoma on Thursday

The Federal Aviation Administration informed that a medical helicopter crashed in Oklahoma on Thursday. But there is no information about any casualties. It is believed that the helicopter was carrying minimum three people.

FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said that the aircraft went down around 11:25 p. m. local time near Eufala. The helicopter that registered to EagleMed LLC was flying from Tulsa to McAlester. Lunsford as well as city and county authorities have not informed anything about the condition of those on board.

It has been informed that FAA investigators will reach to the site and the investigation will be led by the National Transportation Safety Board. The McIntosh County Sheriff's Office is managing the crash but a spokeswoman said that presently there is no information that can be provided.

The three on board were employees from medical air transport company EagleMed LLC. According to authority, the location of the passengers was not clear early Friday.

The NTSB's Aviation Database revealed that since 2010, this is the fourth fatal Eagle Med helicopter crash in Oklahoma. One of these crashes took place on takeoff in June 2013.

Officials said that more than 30 people were called in order to help look for the missing helicopter and crew. The officials are not sure about what caused the crash.
