Himachal to set up bio-technology park

Shimla, Nov 23 : The Himachal Pradesh government Monday gave the green signal for setting up a bio-technology park in the state and decided to invite bids from private developers, an official said.

"The state cabinet Monday approved the establishment of a bio-technology park under PPP (public-private partnership) model near Nalagarh in Solan district. It would be developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 200 crore," the official said.

The park, to be developed some 75 km from state capital Shimla, would generate employment for about 500 people.

"The government has sanctioned Rs. 14 crore for developing basic infrastructure in the park," he said.(IANS)
