Hockey India elections on 28th JulyThe election guidelines and the date of the Hockey India (HI) election have been announced. The Hockey India has declared that its elections will be held on 28th of July. This has been announced by the President of Hockey India Vidya Stokes.

As per the press release, retired High Court judge Justice R. C. Chopra will be the Returning Officer for the elections. As per HI, S. K. Mendiratta is again going to capture his previous post. He was earlier nominated by the Union Sports Ministry as the observer.

HI Secretary Narinder Batra has said that FIH Vice-President Antonio von Ondarza will be the observer for this upcoming election for International Hockey Federation. Apart form that, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has also declared to send its observer.

However, what will be the move of the government and the IOA is unclear yet. Recently Delhi High Court has ordered for the disaffiliation and de-recognition of the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF). After that, on 14th of June, HI has conducted a special general meeting to complete the affiliation process.
