Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne Khan urged people to not to discriminate against AIDS patients

Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne Khan Actor Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne Khan along with various well known personalities motivated people fight AIDS and support people suffering from AIDS during the 26th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, organised by Heroes Project, under the aegis of National AIDS Control Organisation and in association with the Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS).

Hrithik took the pledge "I will" to show his solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS.

Hrithik said: "We are not doing this only for HIV infected people. We are doing this for you and me. AIDS is not something that happening to other people but it is happening to us."

Suzanne said: "We are here to protect our children and our people. If something from our side can make a difference, we both would like to speak about it."

Dr K Sujatha Rao, Kumaramangalam Birla, Farhan Akhtar, Nandita Das, Shobhaa De, Tina Parekh and Parmeshwar Godrej along with her husband Adi Godrej and daughters Tanya Dubash and Nisa Godrej also attended the programme.

A two minute silence was then observed to honor martyrs of the fight against AIDS. Thousands of Mumbaikars lit candles to show their support to the cause.
