It turned out to be yet another weekend of displeasure for the Tamil movie fans as none of the new releases proved to be good.

With three Tamil flicks: Karunaas' 'Ambasamudaram Ambani', S. A. Chandrasekhar's 'Veluthu Kattu' and Mumaith Khan's 'Pournami Naagam' released on Friday (July 2), the majority of the shows remained empty whereas Bollywood's latest release 'I Hate Luv Storys' made a big opening with the multiplexes screening extra shows.

On Thursday night, AGS Royal Cinemas hosted the red carpet premiere show with Kollywood celebs including Vasanth, actors Nanda, Vaibhav, Premji, Vasanth Vijay, Srikanth, Music directors Thaman, Devi Sri Prasad, Singers Naresh Iyer Chinmayee, Vijay Yesudas, Bhavatharini and many others participating in it.

Tickets for the paid previews were sold out within a short time period and the film is being watched by non-Hindi speaking viewers also.

In addition, the theatres screening Manirathnam's Hindi edition 'Raavan' have been replaced by IHLS.

'I Hate Luv Storys' stars Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles with 'Kutty' fame Sameer in an important role. (With Inputs from Agencies)
