Jakarta, Jan 8 : Indonesia's leading tyre manufacturer, PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk, has signed a sponsorship deal with England's top football club Manchester United.

Manchester United is Indonesia's most supported football club with over than 54 million followers in Twitter. With these considerations, Multistrada aim to bring MU closer to its fans on a daily basis, reports Xinhua.

Manchester United commercial director, Richard Arnold said, the club is delighted to welcome Multistrada as its official tyre partner in Indonesia.

"We have always had huge support in the country and our commercial sponsorships are an important way for the club to connect with those fans," Arnorld said.

Meanwhile president director of Multistrada, Pieter Tanuri, said the company is proud to be Manchester United's official sponsorship.

"We are confident that this partnership will better leverage our brand to the international world," he said.(IANS)
