IPL revived my ODI career: Mishra

Amit MishraPromising leg-spinner from Haryana, Amit Mishra thinks that it was his success in the second Indian Premier League in South Africa, which revived his ODI career.

The leggie, who had made a come-back to the ODI's after a gap of six years, edged out left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha for the second slow bowler's spot.

Speaking on this, Mishra said: "The selection in the ODI team is a reward for the hard work I have put in over the last few years. I am really very happy because at last my struggle paid off."

The prolific spinner is in great form this season. He emerged as the second highest wicket-taker in the recently concluded Emerging Players Trophy in Australia.

Mishra, 26, was also one of the big successes for Delhi Daredevils in the IPL Season 2. The bowler got a hat-trick against Deccan Chargers in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008.

Mishra said that he has learnt a lot from the likes of Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and even Shane Warne after his constant interactions with them.
