Ishikawa clinches Tokai Classic title

Don't try to work through back painJapan's teenage sensation Ryo Ishikawa has won the title of Tokai Classic men's golf tournament in Miyoshi, Japan on Sunday. Ishikawa stroked birdies on last two holes to finish just one-stroke ahead of second placed Takeshi Kajikawa.

The 18-year-old, Ishikawa scored a three-under-par 69 on the final day to win his fourth Japan Open title of the year. Ishikawa carded a total of 14-under 274 in the four-day tournament.

Ishikawa, who made cut at the US PGA Championship in August, scored two bogeys and an eagle on the par-five 15th to win his sixth career title. Kajikawa scored 69 to finish at the second place while Shingo Katayama (70) and Yuta Ikeda (71) shared third place.

Ishikawa has become youngest winner in any event of world’s six major tours after he won the title of domestic KSB Cup at the age of just 15 in 2007. He was also youngest player who participated in US PGA Championship history at Chaska, Minnesota.
