On Thursday, S. Jaipal Reddy the Urban development minister watched over the Delhi Development Authority's (DDA) verdict to fasten by builder Emaar-MGF, in spite of the concluding deteriorating to respect their promise connecting to the Games Village.

The planner fell petite of finances during the economic recession and had to be bailed out by the DDA that provided them an amount of R766.89 crore to facilitate them to conclude the work.

As per Reddy, There was no bailout. It was a buy back bargain by the DDA to facilitate the developer to finalize the Games Village. Providing the agreement to any other contractor at that phase might have turned up enormous holdup, Reddy added.

DDA and the Reddy’s ministry have been condemned for continuing with Emaar-MGF and backing them financially. In spite of the hold up, the builder botched to pick up the April 2010 time limit for getting the Village, releasing it only in September.

On Wednesday, with the Games completed, Reddy provided DDA the green signal to take possession of the builder’s bank assurance of R183 crore for shortage in finishing the project.
