Jaiprakash Hydro Power, group company of Jaiprakash Associates, has clocked marginal dip of 6.64% in the net profit for the quarter ended September 2009.

During the reporting quarter, company has posted a profit of Rs 624.10 million as against profit of Rs 668.50 million for the similar period ended September 30, 2008.

In the corresponding quarter, company’s total income stood at Rs 1,141.50 million, down 1.21% over the prior year period.

Shares of the company lost Rs 1.85, or 2.2%, to settle at Rs 78.95 on BSE. The total volume of shares traded was 1,1 million on Bombay Stock Exchange.
