Jimmy Carter behind all present-day terror ills, says Empress Farah of Iran!New York, September 23 : Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran says that neither there would have been any problems in Afghanistan nor an Iran-Iraq war, had then U. S. President Jimmy Carter not overthrown her late husband Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in 1979.

"Iraq would never have dared to even send a plane over our country. The Gulf War wouldn''''t have happened, nor would any of the problems of the past 30 years, including the exporting of religious fanaticism," the New York Post quoted her as having told Avenue magazine.

Farah’s statement came just days after Carter had said that Republican representative Joe Wilson''''''''s outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress was an act "based on racism".

In the intro to Farah’s interview, Bob Colacello talks about his and Andy Warhol''''s 1976 visit to Iran.

"The fact that the empress would invite Andy Warhol, fresh from Studio 54, to the Imperial Palace . . . showed just how open-minded, not to say hip, Her Imperial Highness was," Colacello says. (ANI)
