JSW Energy acquires stake in Coal Mining Holding in SA
One of the promising power companies of the country, JSW Energy has informed that it has picked up majority stake in a coal mining company in South Africa. JSW has acquired preponderant stake in Coal Mining Holding Ltd. However, the company has not indicated the cost of the stake.
JSW Energy has said that it has acquired 49.80% of the stake in Royal Bafokeng Capital which is a foremost shareholder of the South African firm Coal Mining Holding Ltd.
The company has informed this fact at the Bombay Stock Exchange. As per the announcement in BSE, JSW can also purchase the remaining 50.20% stake of Royal Bafokeng Capital from Royal Bafokeng Ventures Ltd. Apart from that the company can also acquire the RBH Resources Holdings Ltd in Mainsail Trading 55 (Proprietary) Ltd entirely.
Major shares of Coal Mining Holdings have been collectively held by RBC and Mainsail collectively. However, the shares of the JSW Energy have gone up by 3.85% after the announcement.
