Kalpataru Power Transmission wins order worth Rs 1400 crore

KalpataruKalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL), a leading EPC player in power transmission and distribution, has bagged orders worth Rs 1400 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd (MSETCL) and North East Transmission Co. Ltd for transmission and substation projects.

The first order, which the company secured from MSETCL, is for turnkey execution of 220 and 132 KV transmission lines and substation end bays under Strategic Alliance EPC Model, to be executed over a period of next 3 years.

The scope of work includes execution of approx 2500 KM transmission lines and 137 substation end bays, spread over various zones in Maharashtra State.

The second order, which the company received from North East Transmission Co. Ltd, will cover turnkey execution of 158 KM of 400 KV D/C Churaibari - Silcher - Khelerihat line in the state of Meghalaya and Assam.

The project is expected to be completed in next 28 months.

After touching an intraday high of Rs 897, the scrip of the company finally settled the day at Rs 834 on BSE.
