Indian smartphone maker Karbonn Mobile's Android-based A30 smartphone is finally available in the market for purchase.

The Karbonn A30 runs on Google's Android 4.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS, and features a massive 5.9-inch TFT display. The huge screen has also prompted many analysts to place it in the list of phablet -- Phone + tablet.

The new smartphone comes equipped with a 1GHz dual-core processor, a rear-facing 8-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. During voice calls, the phone's two SIMs operate in dual-GSM standby mode.

The new smartphone is capable of accessing the internet over WiFi, 2G and 3G. Bluetooth and microUSB can be used to transfer files.

It is a dual-SIM device that comes with microSD card to allow users to increase storage capacity up to 32GB, a big 2,500mAh battery, and built-in KingSoft Office productivity suite.

Various popular apps and games like Kingsoft Office and Angry Birds come preloaded in the handset. The Popi app allows users to book movie tickets and even domestic flights as well as recharge prepaid mobile and DTH.

The handset comes accompanied by a charger, headset, carrying case, additional back panel and user guide.

Online retailer Saholic is offering the Karbonn A30 with a price tag of Rs 10,990.
