Kaspersky looks to boost its presence in the Indian marketSeeking to boost its presence in the rapidly growing in the computer technology market of India, the Russian computer security company Kaspersky has launched its latest security solution – Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 – in India. Kaspersky has announced to launch Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Kaspersky Antivirus 2010.

Kaspersky has also declared that it will expand its operations in India. Kaspersky Director (Channel-South Asia) Alexander Gnatusin has told that the company is planning to open its regional office in Hyderabad.  

Kaspersky has claimed that the security solution ‘Kaspersky Internet Security 2009’ offers strong protection against viruses, spyware, trojans, hijacking, and identity thefts. The ‘Kaspersky Internet Security 2009’ comes equipped with virtual keyboard and parental control. The virtual keyboard enables users to enter logins and passwords safely. The Internet Security 2009 prevents the theft of data transferred via secure connections (HTTPS, SSL). It is capable of removing all traces of a user’s Internet activity (temporary files, cookies, etc.). The ‘Kaspersky Internet Security 2009’ carries the price tag of about Rs. 500 for single user.  

The Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 has been developed in line with the system requirements for Windows Vista and it is fully compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the operating system. The Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 is priced at Rs. 990.00.

Kaspersky has disclosed that the Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and the Kaspersky Antivirus 2010 will come with a slew of new features and advancements. The software packages will be launched in India, in July. However the company hasn’t yet disclosed the price of the software packages.
