Kensington, Chelsea host six out of 10 most expensive streets

kensingtonAccording to a new report, London borough of Kensington and Chelsea hosts six out of the ten most expensive streets in England and Wales.

Egerton Crescent in South Kensington has been identified as the most expensive place in the country for the second year. The report released by the Lloyds Bank has shown that homes on the street have a typical cost of around £7.4 million. The street is located near to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) and Harrods and hosts lavish properties including Grade II-listed Georgian homes boasting four or five bedrooms.

Cadogan Square, Prince Consort Road, Drayton Gardens, Eaton Square and Blenheim Crescent were other streets among the ten most expensive streets in the UK. Homes on the streets had a typical price tag of around £5 million. The Bishops Avenue in London area of Hampstead has been named as the second most expensive street in the country with an average house price is a cool £6.2 million.

Withinlee Road in Macclesfield, Cheshire is the only street outside of South England to be named in the top 50 list in the UK. London made up 19 of the top 20 most expensive streets, according to the report.
