Virdhawal Khade of India, who won gold medal in 50 m freestyle category yesterday, has won the silver medal in the 50m butterfly event at the International Schwimmfest in Darmstadt, Germany on Monday.

Khade impressed with the timing of 24.28 seconds, which was just short by mere one-hundredths of a second from the timing of the gold medalist.

Khade also hold national record with a timing of 24.25 seconds, which has been his carrier best till now, at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.

Khade had bagged gold medal with a timing of 22.96 seconds in the 50m freestyle event on Sunday.

Khade, Sejwal and J Agnishwar , the Indian swimmers, would now begin their training for the World Swimming Championships which is scheduled to begin from July 26.
