Lazio, Reggina play in mid-week as Champions League final looms
Rome - Serie A sides Lazio and Reggina will advance their weekend game to Wednesday to meet a request from European body UEFA, the Rome side Monday announced on their web site.
UEFA asked to have Rome's Stadio Olimpico available a week ahead of the Champions League final set for May 27 between Barcelona and trophy holders Manchester United.
With two games to go, struggling guests Reggina are second from last in the three-team drop zone, while Lazio are free from worries at mid-table after securing a berth in the Europa League by winning the Italian Cup.
The Europa League replaces the UEFA Cup beginning next season. (dpa)
