London - Everton manager David Moyes confirmed on Wednesday that defender Joleon Lescott will not play against Sigma Olomouc in the Europa League on Wednesday.

"Joleon's attitude has not been right these past days," he said.

"He has disappointed me and he has disappointed his team-mates. He is not in the right frame of mind."

Lescott is a transfer target for Manchester City, but despite the player submitting a written transfer request, Everton have refused to sell.

Moyes has called City's open pursuit of the 27 year old "disgusting".(dpa)
