LG is planning to showcase what it describes as the world’s largest 3-D “Ultra Definition” television at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas next month.
The 84-inch Television will come with a 3840×2160 resolution 3-D display. The Television is designed to display four times the pixel density compared to any 1080p television. It uses a embedded 2D-to-3D conversion engine allowing users to watch 2D content in a 3D format.
The users will also be able to modify the content using the 3D Depth Control. Users will also be allowed to control sound processing with the 3D Sound Zooming function. The panel can be used to connect to the Smart TV application storefront and users are allowed to install as many as 1,200 different applications on the television.
LG has describe the control of the television as the Magic Remote. The company will add voice recognition technology and gesture control for controlling television functions. The new television is expected to be with in the reach of the majority of the customers. The company had not announced the pricing details for the television set yet.
