Maha Govt Unveils Website For Jr College Online Admissions

Ashok ChavanThe much-awaited website for online admissions to junior colleges is finally ready.

Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan on Tuesday unveiled the website: http://fyjc.org.in/mumbai.

Commenting on the launch of the website, Chavan said: "This is an effort to make admissions student-friendly and bring transparency in the admission process."

He congratulated Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, the state education minister, for this purpose.

Speaking on this occasion, Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said that the students can access the website from June 10 onwards to practice filling the form.

Apart from this, the government has also decided to distribute a 60-page handbook on online admission which students can take from the school at the time of collecting the marksheet.

However, the students of ICSE and CBSE will have to visit deputy director's office at Charni Road to collect the handbook.

Meanwhile, the Principals from the core committee of the online team has advised the students not to fill the form in a hurry on the first day itself.

"Students have seven days to fill the forms after the results are declared," said TA Shiware, principal of Hinduja College, Charni Road.
