Vineet Nayyar, the previous Vice-chairman of Mahindra Satyam, will head the board of the company, the firm revealed in a filing before the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). He would also continue his services as a whole time director of the company.

The firm, formerly known as Satyam Computer Sevices, has also announced to increase the strength of members to eight in the board including two independent, two non-executive and two executive directors. Former SEBI Chairman M. Damodaran and Gautam S. Kaji are appointed additional directors of the firm with immediate effect.

Mr. Nayyar has a vast experience in handling the corporate affairs and he held some key positions in a number of companies during his professional career. He also worked as a CEO of Tech Mahindra till June 2009 besides acting as a founding Chairman and Managing Director of the state owned Gas Authority of India ltd.

Mr. Nayyar worked with HCL Corporation as a Managing Director and as a Vice-Chairman HCL Corporation besides acting as a CEO of HCL Perot Systems. Mahindra Satyam, the erstwhile Satyam Computer Services is expected to scale new heights of success taking advantage from the vast experience of Mr. Nayyar.
