Malaysian boy dies after wasp attack
Kuala Lumpur - A Malaysian boy died after being stung by a swarm of wasps in the eastern Borneo state of Sarawak, where three other children died last month from a hornet attack and their mother remained in a coma, a news report said Tuesday.
Sazali Sapiee, 12, died late Sunday, several hours after he was stung by a swarm of wasps while playing with friends in the state capital, Kuching, the New Straits Times daily said.
After being stung on the face and body, the boy had continued playing but then fainted. He was rushed to a hospital but died when his condition worsened, the report said.
Last month, a woman and her three children were attacked by a swarm of hornets while taking an evening walk in the same area. (dpa)
