Malaysian police find large haul of methamphetamines in truck

Malaysian opposition lawmaker charged with sedition Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian police made one of the country's largest seizures of methamphetamines worth millions of dollars, police chief Musa Hassan said Monday.

Police discovered an estimated 900 kilograms of the drug in 10 plastic bins early Sunday after stopping a lorry in the central state of Pahang.

A laboratory test Monday confirmed that the crystalized drugs were methamphetamine, Musa was quoted as saying by the official Bernama news agency.

Police also detained three men, aged 30 to 50.

Musa said authorities were still investigating the source of the drugs, adding that the actual street value had yet to be confirmed. (dpa)
