Manan Survives In A Scare By Sameer

SnookerThe former national champion Manan Chandra has survived in thriller against Sameer Shroff in the Madras Gymkhana All India invitational snooker tournament at Chennai on Tuesday.

Manan, the top seeded, has defeated TNBSA's Sameer by 65-22, 53-52, 52-72, 59-58 in his first match of the championship in Group-A.

All the frames in the match between Manan and Sameer were close but Manan clinch the match even after losing the third frame to Sameer.

Lucky Watnani upset the second seeded Sourav Kothari of PSPB by 85-12, 101-14, 60-58 while in another match the local boy Harpreet Singh has defeated Dharmendar Lilly by 68-27, 61-54, 16-56, 67-25.

Alok Kumar of PSPB continued his good show in the tournament to defeat Anuj Uppal of Delhi by 3-0 in six-member Group-C.
