Los Angeles, April 4 - Singer-songwriter John Mayer says he is happier after splitting from former girlfriend Katy Perry, and admits it is tough being in a committed relationship.

Mayer spoke about his roller-coaster seven-month relationship with Perry, during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' chat show, where he admitted he finds being a one-woman man tricky.

"I'm on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing," thesun. co. uk quoted Mayer as saying.

Since the split, Perry has been seen out partying with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. (IANS)
