Microsoft Office in India by June 2010

Chairman of Microsoft Corporation in India, Ravi Venkatesan said that, latest version of Microsoft office hit Indian markets in June; it includes online versions of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and OneNote. This software is useful for both consumers and professionals.

The main proposal behind the launch of Microsoft Office is that it proves to be an online alternative to MS Office to curtail the growing influence of Google Documents.

Features attached to this software are Refined Ribbon interface and Backstage View across all applications, a background removal tool, new templates, jump lists in Windows 7 and set if new animations in PowerPoint.

Previously in June, Microsoft was planning to launch Windows Azure in India, which will provide platform to the corporate sector only. The technology used in this software will reduce the IT expense of the companies by 50%.
