Faridabad, Jan. 26 : Venting its ire, an irate mob resorted to violence on Friday here after it heard of a stalker raping and later murdering a teenage girl.

The victim was a student of Class 12 and the incident took place when she had gone out to attend tuition classes on the afternoon of January 24.

As the girl did not return home by evening, the worried family started searching for her, and later received a call from police informing them of a girl''s body being found at a nearby guest house. The body was identified as their missing daughter.

Station House Officer (SHO) of NIT, Faridabad Anil Kumar said the stalker took the girl, raped and murdered her with a knife.

The protestors expressed their anger by destroying the vehicle of the accused.

The culprit has been arrested and a complaint has been lodged against him. Police said the reason for the murder was one sided love. (ANI)
