Nadal maintains top spot on ATP men's tennis rankings

Rafael-NadalJohannesburg, Nov 19 : Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal has maintained his position on top of the newest men's tennis rankings issued by the ATP.

The Spaniard ensured he would end the year as world number one with victory over Stanislas Wawrinka at the ATP World Tour Finals in London on November 6.

According to Sport24, Nadal went on to lose the final to Djokovic, but on 13,030 points could be overtaken by the Serb, who is on 1, 260 at the second, with Spain's David Ferrer third on 5,800 points.

The report mentioned that Britain's Andy Murray is fourth on 5,790 points, Argentine Juan Martin del Potro fifth on 5,255, Swiss ace Roger Federer sixth on 4, 205, Czech Tomas Berdych seventh on 4,180 points, Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka eighth on 3,730 points and Frenchman Richard Gasquet ninth on 3,300 points.

The tenth position is occupied by Gasquet's compatriot Jo-Wilfried Tsonga with 3,065 points, the report added. (ANI)
